Lakewood School is a great school for growing and learning. The school offers many excellent programs with a strong academic focus. Our Kindergarten program is a full day, every day.
The school has many committees which plan and implement a variety of activities for the benefit of the students.
Lakewood School is implementing the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program. There is an active committee consisting of staff members, parents, students and daycare representatives. There are weekly class meetings to address students' concerns and develop student strategies to address bullying.
Lakewood School also has an active Healthy Living Committee consisting of staff members and parents. A Healthy Living Symposium has been implemented for the past three years.
At Lakewood, we consistently encourages that students be the best they can be and that parents are significant partners in the Lakewood Learning Community.
Mission Statement
Lakewood School will promote learning as a life-long goal by encouraging children to try their best in their school work and to become caring and responsible persons. Lakewood students and staff will work together as a team to provide a safe and respectful community to help reach our goal.
